Know your dust!! Combustible dusts when accumulated in the right concentration in certain conditions are at risk of deflagration or rapid combustion. If this process takes place within an enclosure it can cause an explosion with devastating effects. Micro Air has several options to help mitigate these risks. The gold standard to prevent fire and/or explosion is to implement a wet collector into your dust collection process. The Hyrdomax^® is a fully NFPA compliant line of wet collectors for combustible dust collection including but not limited to aluminum, titanium, and magnesium. Instances that do not allow for wet collection, Micro Air also offers multiple solutions for our cartridge dust collectors including explosion relief vents, isolation dampers, suppression systems, and spark arrestors.
